Smart Indoor Security Cameras record suspicious activities in HD video quality

Safe Distancing

Even though we’re working from home due to Coronavirus disease COVID-19 pandemic, it doesn’t make smart indoor security cameras redundant. As we’re getting better at managing Coronavirus, we’ll go back to office more often. Eventually, we’ll start to travel to places.

Whenever we’re away from home, smart indoor security cameras become our eyes to monitor indoor activities. As soon as suspicious movement is detected, the cameras stream, record and send alerts to our mobile devices. Since the video streaming is in HD quality even in the dark, we can zoom in for better clarity. We can then call the police or warn the intruder or both.

Smart cameras are compatible with smart home controllers like smart speakers and smart hubs, they can work with other smart devices to give us a complete picture of the incident.

Important Considerations for Best Smart Indoor Security Cameras

While looking for the best smart indoor security cameras, consider the following 3 factors:

  1. Are the basic features like video recording, 2-way comm and so on available without paid subscription plan? If no, consider other brands since these features are standard and free in competing brands.
  2. Do we really need the the advanced features like 24/7 recording, facial recognition etc which are normally available in paid subscription plan? If yes, ensure that the plan is available locally.
  3. Outdoor models can also be used in indoor environment. However, don’t pay more for the weatherproof features if you’ve no intention of using them outdoor.

We favor smart security cameras that provide standard features as free instead of as subscription plan. One bad thing about paid subscription plans is that they’re  generally not available in most countries outside US. Furthermore, why pay more while you can get them for free?
